A smart home offers the opportunity to manage automation and energy resources to optimize the wellbeing of the people living at home. The home in Florence and Berkeley are connected by the internet and they are managed as being in one place.  Sensor are used to detect living signs and to signal differences in patterns. Automations are used to control climate in the house, refresh the air, water the plants, and keep a record of people vital signs. The home can be managed locally and remotely.
